Tackling the recession – what can social landlords do to help their tenants get through the recession?

The recession is hitting everyone but none more so than the tenants of Supported Housing providers. Both Financial and Social exclusion continue to be a problem Social Landlords are expected to address and the recession is another issue which impacts on these two key areas of work.

This one day seminar will take a look at what Social Landlords can do to help their tenants get through the difficulties that have arisen because of the effect of the economic downturn. It will consider the benefits for both the organisation and the service user whilst addressing these issues.

  • Examples of good practice and what are the benefits?

  • Identify some of the partner agencies who they can work with to provide advice and support
  • Describe the benefits of supporting service users through the recession to both the service user and the organisation
