DH Announcement on Allocation of 80million Grant

Local Authority Social Services Letter LASSL (2005)6 has been issued by the Department of Health confirming the allocation of the £80million Preventative Technologies Grant
The £80 million Peventative Technologies Grant is to be divided up amongst local authority and sets out clearly that councils must use the grant to invest in telecare initiatives aimed at supporting individuals to live at home and thereby reduce the number of avoidable admissions to residential care or hospital.
