Smoke Detectors

The  optical smoke detector is ideal for early identification of fires. It detects visible smoke, which is often produced in a fire before any flames are generated or any increase in temperature occurs. The detector issues a local, high voume intermittent tone. At the same time, it radio signals the danger to the  social alarm unit which then triggers an alarm via the telephone network.

Potentially a life saving device, the radio smoke detector provides additional protection by raising an instant alarm call.

Four year battery life (detector and trigger), multiple detectors allowed. Integral audible sounder (85dBA)

Radio smoke detectors are used for detecting and alerting via a carephone to the centre when a property is in danger from fire or excessive smoke.

The majority of people now recognise that it is essential to have a smoke alarm fitted within their home, and the reassurance this provides can now be greatly enhanced with a smoke alarm. When a fire is detected, the unit provides a loud audible warning to the user, and automatically sends an emergency alarm signal. When received at the call centre , the alarm is recognised as a priority call, and the emergency services can be alerted.  Several smoke alarms can be installed within the property if required.
