Telecare Services Association

Fran Taberner

Fran Taberner is a service provider representative for England on the TSA Board.

Fran has worked as the ChesterCare Manager for the last three years and in that time she has changed the culture of the company, making it more customer-focused, effective and efficient. There is improved marketing information detailing the different services the company provides and its users also receive a regular newsletter, keeping service users involved.

Fran also undertook a complete restructuring of the team and ensured that everyone carried out multi-skill training.  Although the service offered to ChesterCare customers and end users was already good, she wanted to ensure that it was meeting all the needs and decided it was necessary to benchmark ChesterCare against competitors and also gain a recognised accreditation.

ChesterCare started work towards ASAP (now TSA) accreditation in 2002 and were the first lifeline provider to achieve the revised accreditation part one and two in the country.

Prior to joining ChesterCare Fran spent 12 years at Welsh Water as the Operations Manager.  Quality was something that she has always been interested in and while at Welsh Water she helped the company achieve Drinking Water Accreditation and wrote the manual and many of the policies that enabled the company to achieve the North West Quality Award.

Fran is very family orientated and has a lovely husband and two great children, a son and a daughter. In her free time she enjoys walking and caravanning.

She is strongly committed to quality and providing people with the right service, at the right level, and has a strong belief in the ethos of TSA.
