Obtaining a quality service

The moment of truth for any Telecare service is the point at which an incident occurs and help is needed. Obtaining a service that is quality assured is of fundamental importance.

Consumers and carers can select from a list of service providers who cover their local area and who are fully compliant with the TSA Code of Practice. This quality framework is designed to ensure that all elements of a Telecare service meet high standards. Click here to see a list of providers that have TSA accreditation.

The established - but continually evolving - standards are independently and externally audited by a UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) inspection body. In England, the Code has Government endorsement through both the DCLG (Department for Communities and Local Government) and the Department of Health.

"We have used the service when we had a flood in the hall very late at night and when the hot water boiler burst and flooded the kitchen. Each time, the operator got help for us very quickly which we wouldnt have been able to do ourselves."
