Notable is Malcolm Fisk's wide range of publications. These include the 1989 edited volume Alarm Systems and Elderly People. 2003 however, saw the publication of his book (by The Policy Press) Social Alarms to Telecare: Older People's Services in Transition. The book reviews have pointed to it becoming the 'industry standard', being 'an original and long awaited contribution', 'an invaluable reference work, well researched' and 'compulsive reading'.
