Telecare Services Association

Quality matters

There are two issues to address when considering reliability.  These are:

                                the products used

the competence of the service provider.

In the case of the equipment used, any product compliant with   BS EN 50134 (the European standard for social alarm systems), should be inherently reliable.

Outside the choice of correct equipment, the skills and competence of the service provider are critical to the delivery of a safe and reliable telecare service.  It is for this reason that TSA has developed its Code of Practice to ensure high standards of professional management and competence.  The Code is independently audited an inspection body who is accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).

The majority of telecare providers are TSA members. Members of the Association should be operating in accordance with or be working towards complying with the Association's published Code of Practice.

If you are looking for a telecare service provider, we recommend that you obtain your service from an TSA member organisation.
