Kevin McSorley

Kevin has served on the TSA's Executive Committee since its inception as its Northern Ireland representative and as Chair from June 2000-May 2006.

 

Kevin McSorley is Director of Telecare for Fold Housing. Fold provides social alarm and telecare services to over 15,000 households throughout Ireland and was also a founding member of ASAP (now the TSA).

 

Kevin's career to date has been spent exclusively in the Housing and Social Care sector in Northern Ireland. Having obtained a primary degree in English and German from Queen's University, Belfast, he joined Nih Housing Association in July 1985. Nih Housing Association was a small yet fast developing organisation providing special needs accommodation and sheltered housing. He spent seven years there, the last three as Housing and Finance Manager, until its amalgamation with James Butcher Housing (N.I.) to form Oaklee Housing in 1992.

 

He joined Fold Help in September 1993 to set up and develop its social alarm and telecare monitoring services and at the same time began studying for the MBA, successfully graduating in December 1996.
