Jackie Edwards

Jackie is TSA Board service provider representative for Wales, elected September 2011.

Working for Wales & West Housing (WWH) for nearly 30 years, in 1999 Jackie moved from Scheme Manager in Cardiff into Head Office to help set up the Customer Service Centre (CSC) and Emergency Alarm Control Room. She has helped shape the service ever since, leading the WWH team on their eventful and rewarding journey to gain accreditation in 2006.

Jackie is responsible for all services delivered by the CSC, embracing emergency alarm monitoring and telecare and a general telephone service handling the full range of tenancy issues. This includes managing telecare and out of hours tenancy support services for other housing organisations.

Jackie chairs the Saturn User Group network, bringing together managers and staff who use Chubb monitoring equipment. The Group and Chubb meet regularly to identify research and development opportunities, share good practice and discuss practicalities of delivering quality service using Chubb technology.

Before joining WWH, Jackie worked in the health service; first as a front line staff member in medical laboratories, then research technician in forensic dentistry, then for the leukaemia research service in Cardiff.  Jackie is a founder committee member of the Leukaemia Research Appeal for Wales charity (LRAW) and is currently Chair.
