Lorna Muir

Lorna Muir is the Vice - Chair of the TSA Board.


Lorna has been involved in social work services for over 20 years and is presently the registered manager for Care at Home services in Renfrewshire.  Previously her role included the management of hospital based social services as well as Renfrewshire wide mental health and addiction services.
As registered manager for Care at Home Lorna is responsible for the management and development of local authority home care and housing support services in Renfrewshire. These include reablement services, home care, 4 extra care housing complexes, Renfrewshire community meals service and community alarms and telecare.


Lorna was previously a member of the National Care Standards care at home Scottish working group and is an active member of the ADSW Home Care sub group.


Renfrewshire was the first local authority in the United Kingdom to achieve accreditation to the Service Tailoring, Installation and Response Modules of the Telecare Code of Practice as well as the European Technical Specification for Social Alarms.  Renfrewshire Council was also the first winner of TSA's Crystal Award for Excellence.
